Are there any issues with the t4'14 chassis? The only reason I ask is because I've seen a few guys on here with issues. I'm in the market for a new tc And only race on preped asphalt.

I have two issues with it:

Hex problem (which Xray was quick to fix)

Lack of time to drive more than twice a week.

Most chassis breaking issues are due to the bumper being not supported on top properly in a big crash. Mainly running the T4 bumper without the CF support. Other than that, Xray quality.

Yeah, the bumper brace is kind of a must-have on the T4's. Besides that and the screws on the wheel hexes stripping, there haven't been too many other issues, and about 90% of the local guys have T4'14s. I'm still holding on to my old T3's and T4's though!

For what this is worth...
I'm typically an upper "B"/lower "A" driver...
I have been running an AE 6.1 for about 3 months now in USGT...
I wanted to pick up another tc for VTA,and wasn't blown away by my 6.1,so I thought of trying an xray...
Yester day was my first time running the t4...
Box set up,put it on the track to check steering trim and then straight to the first qualifiers for the very first track time it's seen...
My,my,my...steering everywhere...entry,mid and exit...
Tail end was a bit nervous as some have mentioned...rearend would wash out on occasion at entry so I took out a little drag break, removed a mm of droop from the rear and replaced rear springs with 2.3's...I ran both USGT and VTA yesterday and by the mains, with traction up,Iwas running a second to a second and a half faster with my t4 in VTA /25.5 than my tc6.1in USGT/21.5...
I love this xray...
So much so,that after the race,I sold my associated car and ordered another t4...
Don't get me wrong, the blue cars are good,I was beat by them yesterday,I'm the only orange car there...grin,but for my driving style,it's a no-brainer...I'm better with an xray...

A T4 for VTA or USGT is just a travesty. I know it's just my opinion, but still.
How much weight do you have to add to that bad lad?

Your right Sean...it borders on sacrilegious...grin
In our geography, those are the main games running in touring car...I forget actual numbers, but I'm running shorty packs because that's all I currently own...with that said,Im using some unmarked, brass weights, but it's around 250 grams...now that just feels wrong, putting that much weight on a tc...lol
Ooooooops,I forgot 56 grams,so it's closer to 300 total...

I've only been there once for a practice night but it was a nice track and it looked like 17.5 TC was ran there. On the practice night there were several 1/12 cars and TC mod/17.5 cars running.
