So far, the '14 feels a lot like a T4, though easier to drive and more stable. Not sure it's going to change anybody's life with its mid-corner steering, but it's better.

+1 I had the same issue, and it was this.

I built all mine to 9.5mm of shaft without binding. Tried 9mm but it was to tight and bound ball up.

Post Chassis Length!

Hi,
Need help.
What length is the Xray T4'14 chassis, width is 89mm. On the teamxray website it says 372mm is this measured with the bumper attached?
What is only the chassis length without lower bumper holder and bumper in mm.

I ordered a kit and am trying to have them make a chassis protector for me.

Thx for replying!

Same length as the T2, T3 and T4, around 326.5mm

9.2mm is what has been suggested.

Had kind of a rough first outing. Running mod on med-high grip carpet. Started with basically kit setup but medium links, 3x1.1 pistons, 2.5M gear diff in front, and 5.5f/4.5r droop. Car was ok in Q1, about .3 sec off the fast guys, pretty consistent after getting used to the car. But it lacked on-power steering, so I took out .5mm droop in front. But that made the car way too aggressive, and the front end would hook weird when on power mid corner. So I threw a hail mary, and put 2.7 springs on the front, layed them down a hole, put the droop back, and switched tires. Car sucked in the main. :/ I think I'll just go back to 100% kit next time and go from there.

Ran mine twice this week.

Very pleased. Ticks all the boxes. Only really laid the rear shocks down fully. Got a epic set up for my orca that works a treat!
I just need to get back on the pace.

On the setup sheets the shim behind the front shock. Are they referring to the top and bottom of the shock.
