I bought a bunch of spares and haven't needed a single one yet. This car is just fantastic in my book. It is very easy to drive fast straight out of the box. I went with kit settings initially and made a few slight changes here and there to make it a tad less aggressive. Also, I can personally attest to the fact that it takes the severest of beatings very well. I have thrashed this car in excess and it just takes it. Going to this car was great for me. As a beginner with a different car, I was spending too much time in the pits making repairs and not enough time on the track practicing. This car remedied that and allowed me to get better. Plus the way it drivers is confidence inspiring. I highly recommend it to anybody, but especially to the novice. There will simply be way less headaches involved with the xray.

Very, still faster than most of the other stuff out there and great value for money. The '14 car is faster for most people (seems to have more steering and more rear grip, no idea how they managed that!), but the '13 is still a great car.

For sure still a very competitive car. In fact I think there are only a couple '14s where I race and they are in mod. For 17.5 its all T4'13 or older. Really can't beat the value of the car. Picked mine up used for $250 with ECS shafts, best investment ever!

hi guys the xray t4 13 is still a great car, yearly change is only incremental , set up and driving skill are still the most important things at club level, at my club there are still a few t3's getting around and they are still competitive at this level, I would recommend Xray to any budding driver new or second hand , the quality of the cars blow all the others away, light and strong. biggest downfall is expensive spare parts, but the best thing to do is buy a used car the same year model as the one you have or intend to get, trust me you will end up a long way ahead.
cheers

I've been out of racing for over 12mths, just got back into it with a 2nd hand T3'12 & am already on the pace, just need to polish up on the driver

Any Xray is a worthwhile purchase, new or 2nd hand

Default converting the 13 to the 14

Guys

Just wanna make sure that the parts I plan to buy are correct:

1. chassis
2. top deck
3. suspension holders (1 piece FF)
4. suspension holders (1 piece FR)
5. suspension holders (2 piece RF)
6. suspension holders (1 piece RR)
7. eccentric bushing (1 set)
8. suspension pivot pins (4 pieces)

Have I missed something besides the arms? Everything else should be compatible.

Thanks.

Default missing

steering plate 302547
ball ends 362649 4 off slightly longer than t4 by 0.5mm
ball ends 362652 4 off slightly longer than t4
without these parts setup will be different

Step 1. Sell old car on eBay
Step 2. Buy new car

It'll probably cost less and you'll have a brand new car.

Also 2 packs of XRA307216, thats the pivot pins for the new suspension mounts. I think maybe one of the old pins would work, but these are new part numbers and cannot compare.

New and old pins are all different. All 4 pins are the same on the 14, and different than either front or rear on the 13.
