Xray diffs are worth it, I have built gear diffs on multiple brands, and some SpecR ones, everything leaked, the Xray ones from the two Xrays I have owned now though have not leaked a drop.
Good tips for diff building though, use shock oring type grease/slime on the diff orings, also be careful when tightening housings, too tight or loose and they will leak or crack and leak.

I guess you are right about that. I think if it is better on most track it is worth while, if not stick with the carbon chassis.

the alu chassis works fantastic on very high grip surfaces calming the car, yet making it go deeper and faster through the corner.
But anything less than high grip, the carbon chassis is superior for sure.
The alu chassis is very strong. you would have to hit the car hard enough to break top decks and shock towers before you would damage alu chassis.
It is also a little more narrow than the carbon chassis.
Something I tried for kicks: alu chassis with the top deck completely removed.
Was the easiest yet fastest car I've ever driven! set the lap record within 2 laps and im normally .2-.4 sec slower!
was awesome!
However, I put the carbon chassis back on. I did not feel the belts or car would last long with my far less than perfect driving. the alu chassis was stiff enough without the top deck than belts did not slip after 10mins on track, but I just felt wrong!
food for thought for some!

With this i ask anybody who try this if the car is quicker than before especially without the top deck.
This give the racers hope.

TOP New low friction belt for T4

I will do more testing in 2 Weeks. I want to try a 1.6 top deck split down the center. I will try different bolt patterns.

Xray T4 2015
Hi
Does anyone heard if Xray will be making a 2015 og T5 or what they will be calling the car ??
Thinking of buying a T4 2014 , but if a new car is just around the corner.
Maybe a stupid question , just want to hear some other drivers
Thanks in advance

No one knows if it is a T5 or T4'15 until it comes but my guess is T4'15 since the T4 is only 2 years old.

The '14 is absolutely mega, you won't regret it. With Xray a new car is always just around the corner, that's how they stay in business

I struggle to think of anything major they could change, if we do get a 2015 I suspect it will be little bits being refined, or whole hog big changes and a T5, but that would suggest they had something major planned, which I don't think they do, possible they may not change anything, the T414 is ahead of the curve right now with excellent tow/roll adjustment etc.

I bet we see a Schumacher/Yokomo style motor mount on the 2015.

so what was new on the xrays at the ets?
looking at hagbergs car i can see he was using the new bulkheads on the front, the rears look the same, and he was also running a narrow rear end, cant see any other changes
although in the pics on red rc it says its car #1 but yet no ecs shafts in the rear, which i thought was a standard with alex
