Did you have to shorten the wheelbase for the McAllister body to fit? I thought the LM-1s wheelbase was too long for the usual 1/10 scale bodies.

Scott,

Thankfully I did not Luckily the McCallister body didn't have rear wheel arches molded in so I was able to place them where I needed. I think the LM-1 is like 10mm (give or take) longer than a standard TC or WGT car.

I am atleast still racing mine. I'm out in Illinois and very few has them, I would love to get a group together out here and get them started up if possible.

I have a huge question for the group;
I really want to set up light with my body, how do get lights all set up with the car? They have that extra body piece to install light to it but i truly do know how to attach it and have it with lights.

I am super new with this R/C stuff.

I used double sticky tape and some aluminum tape. The Audi body comes with headlight buckets, but only the Peugeot comes with taillights too. Here is an example of a Porsche body I did.

fall/winter they get some track time around here.

Summer in Midwest for sure is outdoor season..1/8, gas, mod TC, or whatever. F1 and LeMans see more action when things return indoors.

Overseas in parts of Asia they race them year round and part of a few large race series.

I'm thinking about getting one of these, have the rubber tires come out yet?

To my knowledge, no rubber tire has been released

Arent the hubs the same as F104? In this case any F1 rubber wheels will fit.

The problem is, the offsets are all wrong, and the F1 tire diameter is different. If the F103 uses the same mounting, they might be a big closer, but will probably still be off. I'm sure someone has tried it by now.

When these came out I believe a ton of people tried to fit rubber tires.

The stock foam wheelsets work great indoors and out with little wear.

This is not a very easy solution but mounting pit F104 tires backwards on Tamiya C-car rims would work.

The problem is the wheels are hard to come by, and you need to cut the flap off of the pit tire.

Maybe the new Tamiya Nissan car coming out will have wheels that will work.

The new Nissan from Tamiya is on the F103GT chassis and it uses regular sedan wheels. You might find a wheel with the right offset, but not really sure.

Hi all,

I am looking to buy this car in Europe... But i seriously can't find any store that sells them. I've tried my LHS but he doesn't sell it anymore.

Anyone knows please?

Thanks!
