Then 25.5 it will be. I want them to go as slow as possible so they learn to drive. My youngest is 5 and he can barely hold the radio.

That makes sense TRU. As Rick said, we should hear word on the rubber in a couple weeks or so.

I've wondered if the array of F104 axles will fit the car. That would give you the option of everything from aluminum to carbon fiber to steel.

What hex does the LM-1 have?

Does Tamiya F103/F104 from and rear wheels fit?

F103 rears are about 2.5mm wider than the SP LM1 rears (5mm total width across the car). Both have 14mm hex drives, extending about 12.4mm into the rim. I don't have any F104 rear rims here to measure.

F103 fronts have about 3.5mm more offset than the SP LM1 fronts (7mm total width across the car). Same for the F104 rims.

Default very cool new body

Saw this story on the above French website....very cool new LeMan's body, 4 different styling options available in the one body kit (different front end and rear dorsal-fin options). Very nice!

I think somebody actually commented about this over on the LMP thread (and maybe here too). Its not bad...I will defer to Rick and Rob on official commentary about it

It's been covered in the general thread. It's for WGT cars so way too short for the LM-1.

Default spur & pinion

Hi, what size of spur & pinion in 64 pitch can be used on the LM-1 ?

Thank you, Alain.

And believe me, this chassis is far from un-drivable. Those who race F1 will know the SP1 based platform is definitely race-worthy.

Of course, the entire LM-1 option parts can be purchase separate for those who really want to make the chassis look nice.
I meant more "average", rather than cheap. Nothing special, new, or something to make me go "oooohhhh, I NEED THAT CAR!"

If you want to switch to same diameters try 96/27 (72/20 48p).

We need some quick change front ride height shims. Anyone have any solutions already working for them?

This isnt a class about having the latest hop ups and all the carbon and aluminum blingy craziness...this is about coming up with a beautiful looking car that anyone can afford, from the father and son looking for a hobby to enter together to the seasoned hobbyist looking to get out of the chassis of the week game that much of onroad has become (outside of VTA). If it was about impressing people, Id be willing to bet that this chassis wouldnt have been released. This is a simple car with a price point that wont break anyone's bank and is a class that can be entered with minimal initial outlay.
