1200 should be a good minimum weight for both LMP (open) and LM1/LMPC (spec)...yes?

Default Another day of racing...

Should have sold a few more kits. Folks in this area are stoked for these cars.

Awesome day at the track, ran the chassis a bunch, fast, no breakage, no issues, just fun.

What tire wear?

lol. I have been doing 3-5 runs a day as time allows and tweaking here and there for my driving style.

I still want to raise the center shock about another 2mm at the battery brace to get it flatter. the last run last night I added a touch of toe out, ( I would guess 1 deg per side) for me, it helped the car get in the corner better.

I still have to "float" the car into the sweeper, the lower front roll center (shimming the castor blocks up) made the steering much more responsive.

We will have to see what Rob, Kevin and Rick come up with at Hot Slots today

Default LM-1 spec class

Just my 2 cents, but you may want to give people 3-4 pinion choices for gearing at different types of tracks.

We have done this with Spec175 here, everyone runs a 84T spur (64-pitch) and you can run a 44, 45, 46 or 47 tooth pinion.

Our local track just moved on-road from outside (asphalt with 90' straight) to inside carpet (about 65' straight) and it's tighter and more technical, so the smaller pinions are working better.

May I suggest 26, 28 or 30 tooth pinions (48-pitch) for different sized tracks for the LM-1?

Thanks,

-Rich

KK should be at your track tomorrow and you 2 can get me some newer setup.....please test with 21.5 motor instead.

Definitely....I think we are trying to limit the MAX gearing that match with the minimum diameter of the tires.

Ran mine for the first time yesterday. Very cool. Didn't get much time on it but I see plenty of potential for this platform.

Pics of my livery to come later.

Hey now, I can wreck it just as good with a 21.5 as I can with a 17.5.

I ran the last changes I did yesterday against the USGT cars just to get some "race" feel for it. Much faster closing/straight speed than the GT's and about the same infield. I could have probably gone down to a 23T pinion and been ok with 21.5

Just my $0.02 worth, but I like the idea of 2s/21.5 as I expect that there will be F1 drivers who will convert a chassis to 200mm to run this body/class. If you have an SP-1, all the better!

Default the possibilities...

Solara,

Can you elaborate on what might be the purpose of the five extra mounting holes found on the back of the rear pod?

Any cool bits planned, like a diffuser or something similar?

There is a diffuser supposed to be coming from what Solara said in the past

Hi, It has got the potential to become a very popular class only if other body makers
can come up with like the Toyota TS030 hybrid or the Lola B60/12 coupe. If not
then it will be like World GT where everybody uses the same body with different
paint jobs and liveries and can be very boring, Nevertheless it is a very pretty
car. Mine is mounted on a F104 chassis modified with a R Sector 200mm kit and
it is a very good handling kit. Just my two cents worth. Attached photo. Regards
Norman
