Ed I enjoyed all your previous videos.

Will you do an unbox/introduction video for the new car?

Love your videos BTW, super nerdy -and of course being a 1/12 enthusiast myself I mean that as a compliment.
From what i can see with naked eye when holden them tougheter it wil not work or you have to be verry verry skilled with a dremel to make extra holes in the lower podplate. uper pod plate has different shape to.
conversion will not be released (i think). only the front arms and asambly is the same.
All the rest is different

There was an unexpected "happening" during the video.

Yes, those happening continued throughout the night. My town wasn't directly affected, however, an 90 minute drive north is a whole different story. Kumamoto city area was hit pretty hard.

Managed to squeak in another video. This video deals with the Lightning 12M cross brace and discussing it's features.

Over the past weekend I had the opportunity to throw down some shakedown laps with my VBC Lightning 12M. I was really, really impressed with how the car handled. With no setup adjustments, I threw it down on the track and the video should speak for itself.

Great videos. Has anyone heard of a floating servo mount that puts the servo in the normal spot? I was told one was coming but can't verify that anywhere

Quick update on the VBC 12M first race weekend.

Throughout practice and qualifying the VBC 12M was stable and consistent drive. I pulled off a strong qualifying round with put me into the 53 lap range and about 3~4 seconds ahead of 2nd place. As a result I TQ'd the A-main (only one to produce a 53 laps), however, during the A-main I was spun around by second place which dropped me down to third. Also the contact caused the body to rub against the carpet which slowed me down a little. Eventually 2nd place and I slowly caught up to 1st place, but there wasn't enough time to make a move or make a challenge.

On the whole, I was impressed with how the car performed on the track. No strange behaviors, consistent lap after lap. That said, I still have a lot of work to do with fine tuning the front suspension to get the most out of the car in the corners. Still lacking a little corner speed, but that should be easily fixed with front roll center adjustments and so on.

A thing about the VBC front plastics. Too soft for my liking. Hence why I went for the Associated front lower and upper arm plastics, because they are a lot harder plastic compound and easily available. I struggled with the VBC front and upper arm pivot ball action. Don't bother with the lower and upper arms, just get the Associated setup. I've done this with all my 1/12th cars in the past. Do the same with the center pivot.

Not only are you getting better plastics for the car, you are also increasing the accessibility of getting those parts. Xenon front end will bolt on. WARNING - The Xenon upper arm will not work on the VBC caster block.

Results if you're interested.

Hello, I checked the manuals and they will not. They're are too many changes to the design to allow for a switch over.

VBC Racing has just released (earlier last week) option part for the 12M!

Lightning12M Direct Steering Linkage Floating Servo Mount D-05-VBC-0245

http://www.vbcracing.com/collections...-d-05-vbc-0245

I can't wait to try it out. I find space is a little tight with the current setup and hopefully this servo mount position will free up some room for my bulky electronics.

Has anyone else got their hands on the 12M?
