Just wish we had a class here as 200mm nitro is dying. Word on the street is that the national section here is going to have a 220mm GT 'e' class which this car would be an ideal base. So happy your enjoying the car Evo!
What would be needed to convert it to 220mm GT class?
Are there conversion kits or is it own-construction?

220 Kit and use Xceed Gt wide tires

TC421733 220mm Conversion Kit For 733

Blitz P908 1/10 230mm

And you have a Serpent 977 1:10 scale

That is what our 220mm GT nitro guys are already running. They are just gonna add the e conversion kit and job done! One was running after a national meeting last weekend. Wasn't as quick as the nitro car but looked great fun. Personally I prefer it in 200mm guise but each to their own

Interested in this car. Love my eryx. Why is it everyone's running 1/8 esc in this car. The only rule at my track for mod tc is 2 cell limit and rubber tire. Is this car too heavy for say a 5.5t with a Rsx esc? Or would this not be good for mod tc.

Where are you guys getting your spare belts from? Serpent doesn't have any in stock. Anyone know where I can get a 40s or 50s 3m 516t belt from for the 747e??

I had the same issue actually as wanted a spare belt in my kit. Couldn't get one either. After loads of running my car's belt is still perfect so I'm less worried! I'll get one eventually when I find one lol.

The added traction of the foam tyres and the extra weight mean that temperature become an issue as you are pushing 1/10 electronics to the limit. I am actually running a Reedy Mach 2 5.5t with a Speed Passion Reventon Pro 1.1 on 2s with a 5.8 FDR. I just get 5 minutes on a 6200 pack down to LVC. I had to disable the ESC's over temp protection of 95c as if I don't then the esc shuts down after 4 minutes! I stress that I'm using old (to me) electronics from my TC last year so I don't really worry if I blow up the esc!

I have a spare RX8 that will go in at some point and I'll be getting the LRP motor that Evo has in his car as that will make a bullet proof setup on 3s! My advice is if you want the car and have surplus 1/10 electronics that you don't really worry about then if use that for now to see how you get on before investing in 1/8 electronics. Alternatively the Hobbywing SCT esc combo can be had very cheaply these days which would be a good option as well.

Should I run a 550 can? And with the 2s limit I'm not sure I could run those electronics

2s limit? The car was designed for 3s and the RX8 is 3s-6s. I'm just playing with old 2s electronics on mine. If your setting out all new then definitely 550 motor and RX8 speedo on 3s. Just like Evo has done.

OK wanted to run it in mod Tc but my local track has a 2s limit so I guess this chassis is a no go for me shame I like the look of this setup

Too bad, but you can always get one to bash around in. Its a lot of fun to drive.
I just bought a 2nd 747e to drop a 1512 1/8 motor in. This is it compared to my first 747e with the LRP 550. I had to customize the chassis to make it work.

Squirrel said the COG on this is far higher than the Xray T3. Hudy and Xray team up to make some great kits.
