there seems to be a lot of hate on bert lol why?

anyway

for me its a lot more of a relaxed regime compared to when i ran 12th where it was rush rush rush and im not physically able to do that.

now though its a case of get the car back, wack the battery on charge, blow the car off, make sure nothing is broken or loose and then clean n prep tyres and relax till next race!

I wish people would stop quoting Bert. So I wouldn't have to see his posts at all.

As to the original question, I try and light a cigarette off the motor, if it won't light I figure all is good, and go find a light off someone else's motor...

de-tweak chassis and make notes on setup, check glue seems on tires, check shocks if any air got in, clean out axles and pivot blocks and re-grease, clean out bearings. Good to go!

Going through the entire car just before a big race is done at home because of the time needed.

I rebuild parts of my car while at the track. Clean and re lube all bearings, axles, and shocks every other race day. One day the front, next day the rear. Check and replace belts as needed. Clean pulleys every time I get the chance. Gearing and setup is done at the track during the day.

I have spent the last two days trying to lighten up my car but that is because it was way over weight for my next big race. I normally don't have to do this.
