I hope Bruce develops and sells a final version. I got the shapeways the other day in white and the plastics are pretty soft. Going to test but I'm thinking an eventual production run should be much stiffer than the white 3D printed versions.

Andrew are your black versions pretty sturdy? The white are pretty flexible near the hingepin mounts.

I thumped the barriers, traction rolled and tried to shortcut a few corners for the sake of durability. Nothing broke or cracked and I turned in a few very fast laps and kept an exceptional pace. Mind you, this is my WGT Four R. I haven't updated the Pro or RK10, but have the parts. The steering is exceptional. I'm on the 5 degree blocks, all caster shims back and .5 caster. Almost completely eliminated the inside tire bouncing and now only have the usual minor chirping from the rubber tires.

OK as we have a few weeks of testing on the new arms. Here is the info I can give you.
rubber-ed up black carpet, Purple stripe tires, glued fronts, Stock motor, alloy chassis.

The best balance and speed with full smooth hard rotation through the corners with the new arms.
5 deg reactive block, 2 caster shims rear. ( aprox 2.5 deg caster), .8 camber. Has not only yielded the easiest drive but the fastest times. This will feel a little different then the old new-school front end but the finish of the corner is faster and the over all drive is easier with the added corner speed.

Also remember these are just 3d printed. While it is awesome that we all get to try them out and get involved on the r&d of the cars progression they are not production strength. So be advised smack the wall hard you should expect to replace some parts. With that said they do take more then I thought they would for abuse.

Default Reactive front newskool

Ran this car with 5* reactive and shimmed arm 2 shims front of arm
Ran 1 mm shims on lower arm to make wider
Total front width was 170.4 with 2 shims behind each wheel (scrub )

Ran 15000 Kyosho on kingpins and damper tubes 1.5 mm pod droop
1200 cst in center shock .18 front springs .19 rear. 171.8 rear width...Red center spring
Pink front/green rear glued fronts. On black carpet
Aluminum mcfactory chassis
3.5 motor with turbo and small boost 26/88
Amr body
Car was very comfortable to drive after few scrub in laps no edginess and super durable with shape way parts
My only suggestion is some aluminum screws to get weight down

I'm running a similar setup with less front scrub in 6.5 blinky and works very well also. This setup would be great for 13.5 with the right scrub setting

I have a car I tested rev8 with with dampened xenon front end and new Sokol reactive was actually easier to maneuver Don't be fooled by its old looking appearance it's really dialed and super durable

Thanks bruce ...

If you hit something hard enough that the upper arm durability is a factor, you have a whole other list of problems than that part breaking...

Bruce did a nice job, cool to have a reactive front end that doesn't hold the body up.. can get it as low as you want in the front. With the 3d printed parts it's the smoothest 12th front end I've had, feels like a KSG

Hi speedmerchant guys! I'm looking at making a comback into 1/12 scale racing. I want to run a local American based company and have heard nothing but good things about speedmerchant, I was wondering if I ordered a kit this coming week if it would be a long wait to receive it? The Web site doesn't show instock items. Thanks for your responses
