Hello Y'all...
I see on almost all the pictures here that the servo is mounted pretty far forwards, causing the steering turnbuckles to be at quit an angle from servo saver to steering blocks.
What is the benefit from doing this? I myself drive Pro10 pancar mainly and maybe that would work in those cars also...

Hey guys; I was scribbling around for a 1/12 project that would make use of the old-school AE front end; I'm just not sure what spacing to choose for the two halves of the front end.
What would you guys recommend? Would the spacing from the Rev8 be a good compromise? I know it has been increased on the rev7 coming from the rev6, is that something that stayed unchanged on the rev8?
If anyone could give me a measurements to go with that would be nice. Like on the attached pic, from center to center.
Millimeters preferred ;- ) Thanks a lot !

Thanks RedbullFixx. Is that accurate or approximate ? I ask because I assumed a 105% US manufaturer like SM would use a measurement in inches.
And while we're at it.... do you happen to know the wheelbase ?

63mm is 2,48 inches... so...
Maybe it's 2,5 inches = 63,5mm ? Anyway, that is plenty accurate for my purposes, was just curious.
As for the wheelbase, If I use the measurements you just gave me on the drawing above to establish proportions, I'm getting something between 196 and 198mm.
Care to weigh in on what are the pros and cons of long/short wheelbase? same for wide/narrow front width... Thanks a million !

got it.
I received my Old-school arms from Speedmerchant yesterday. They shipped within 3 hours of me placing my order - 2h20 to be exact (that has to be a record). 4 days later they had crossed the pond and were in my mailbox. Impressive! This was my first order at Speedmerchant and probably not the last.
