Haha crashing seems to be just part of on road. I've been at it a little over a year and I still goof and hit every so often. With this car a bit more on the inside since it feels like it has more steering then my previous tc6.

I thought I would share my latest setup. For Carpet (TQ RC Racing)

Sorex 28 w Sweep LS inserts
Camber: F 1.5 / R 2.0
Ride Height: F 5.0 / R 5.0
Toe: F 0.5 / R 2.0
Shock Oil: F 37.5 / R 37.5 Wt
Spring: F 5.25t / R 5.75 (short spring set from the Zero)
Diff: F Spool / R 2000cst (kit)
Droop: F 6 / R 5
FDR 4.4
Timing 20 deg (Ion 4 17.5t)

A lot of on power steering
I have aluminum spool and cups on the way. If your hit every so often on hi traction surfaces most likely you'll wear a groove into the plastic spool cups. Which can make the suspension bind under power. I'm on my 2nd set already.

Nice work on the setup.

Just a small tip for you concerning your battery input wires, make the negative wire shorter than the positive, make it so it can't reach over to the positive hole on the battery. This will prevent accidental reverse polarity connecting on a day when you have a brain fade - will save your esc and your hard earned $$ getting it repaired or replaced.

Cheers
Rob.

hello guys, sorry for my bad English! :-)

I started assembling the ultimate sakura and reflected a small defect,
page 7, after mounting the bulkhead at point 3 and motor mount,
POINT-4.Belt Tension Setting:

-assembly of the spur gear, in the center pulley mount

-I mount the 2 plastic supports Spur Gear Holder,

I hold the 2 small screws M2x5 all OK

when I hold the other 2 screws M3x6 ...
you tweak the chassis, these 2 screws tightening the center pulley mount that support the spur gear get too close,

-I unscrew the screws

-the chassis back to being normal flat

the M3 x 6mm should be slightly tight?

thank you very much

Default Pinch those Balls

I checked mine again after you mentioned it. And indeed you are right. The plastic ball holder that screws into the arm is quite tight.

I fixed it by pinching it with pliers till the ball moved freely. Remember to test fit it in the arm and make sure its not binding after its pushed into the arm.

I went back and checked all my ball ends and shock ends and they were all a bit tight so I went though with pliers and pinched all the other plastic ends till they moved freely.

Go back and pinch those balls if your getting binding.

Mine does the same thing, pulls up the back right side of the chassis. It seems to be a common problem with quite a few on road cars. My TC6.1 had the same problem. If it bothers you that much you can shim it till it sits flat with the screws tight. I just left it the way it was.

Remember to check for extra plastic / flashing on the spur holders and that its clean and smooth on the surfaces that face the spur holder bulkhead.

I just un tweak the chassis by putting a hard aluminum bar over the top of the shock towers and push down while I tighten the bulkhead cover and upper deck screws.

Installed my aluminum solid front axle and HD outer joint yesterday. After a few packs there was no wear on the outer joint so hopefully this holds up better then the plastic kit spool cups.

If you plan on doing the same you have to use the original 40t pulley. And make sure you purchase the right axle SAK-08/PK
And you also need to put 0.2mm spacer (3RAC-SW10) between the bearing the and spool on both sides or there will be too much slop.

Updated:
If you buy the wrong axle SAK-D120/PK. You will have to reuse the plastic spacer and shave off the locating dots on the spacer.

I get all my parts from here. http://www.tqrcracing.com/shop/parts...arts_p_id=6163

They still don't have an Ultimate section but most XI Sports parts are mostly the same part number as the Ultimate. Most of the parts in that list work except except the Diff and Spool gear. The Ultimate uses a 40t Gear diff and Spool gear.

You can find a parts list in the back of the manual and on the 3racing website. http://www.tqrcracing.com/shop/parts...arts_p_id=6163

I think it comes with two degrees of toe. you can probably swap toe blocks or carriers to change that though.

Also, being the "Ultimate" kit it Should come with sway bars.

Hi mate,

It comes with 0 degree block but has 2 degrees of toe in on the hub carriers.

It comes with the 1.2 rear sway bar and 1.3 front sway bar. You have to buy the pack if you want more tuning options.

Cheers,
Patrick
