Otherwise the car is strong and fast, it goes through chicanes at speeds I have never been able to do before, I am very happy with VBC.
I shoe gooed the cut-outs in place and it feels quite fine to me!

What does it weigh with the shoe goo? I bought my car used and the cutouts were already out. The guys up here running it told me a needed a hard bumper to make it as strong as what i was used to with the xray.

I have always run the xray hard bumpers on my vbc's. Never had an issue with breaking any front end parts. Just take into consideration the xray hard bumper weighs more then the stock.

You might also check out reflex racing, they have a decent variety at good prices. Just search for bumper.

I used two little dabs on each cut-out, so I'd say no more than 2 grams total.

Not sure what you are talking about (the additional glue or the whole bumper) but a bumper foam can be surprisingly heavy. I know the one on my photon weighed 15 grams. Yes, that's just the foam.

Double sided tape can be used, but the fan mount allows the angle of the fan to be adjusted.

Additional. I'll weight the foam bumper tonight for the heck of it and post it up.

Sometimes the cut foam bumpers still have the inserts and if they do, I recommend keeping them inside of the bumper as it will prolong its longevity.

The included VBC bumper weighs approximately 5 grams with inserts (3 grams without), whereas the hard bumper weighs 20!

To add it should be obvious by what was pointed out above but using that hard bumper it WILL change the handling of the car with the effect of making the car more stable.

So, my stock foam bumper, with cut-outs shoe gooed in, comes in at a weight of 6 grams! That's 1 whole gram lighter than my estimation. Just so u know...
