I found some up and down slop for the steering bellcranks. Used a spare 5 x 0.1mm shim and added another one on both posts. Same exact bearing size/setup on my TRF418 that I'm currently assembling. Just make sure not to crank down too hard on the top screws, but otherwise, it is almost slop free now. Still a tad bit of a wiggle on the steering bridge though. Overall, both my cars have less steering slop than my X-Ray.

Yep - fixed the up down slop on the bell cranks. I followed some of the tips from SpeedyRC's blog and this was one of them.

Am going to try tackle that wiggle on the bridge and if I get anywhere, will let you guys know!

Edit: I sanded down the backs of the diff internals and my gear diff is silky smooth using #3000 oil!! Read somewhere in the thread about notchy diffs so was pleasantly surprised to find them so smooth.

Does anyone have a link about shock bladder tuning? Not sure what to do with the optional bladders included with the Dynamics kit. I just built with the stock black ones.

I've built 2 of the Dynamics DO6 and they are nice build. I found the bearings in the steering to be the problem causing the slop. There appears to be too much movement between the race and the cage of the bearing.
A nice set of bearings fixed it.

The Asian Onroad Championship Round 3 is held in Melbourne-Australia this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Looking forward to pitting for my son and meeting up with the other VBC drivers, including the team driver Ryan Maker.

I moved over from a Xray T4 to the D06, I have broken one front and one rear arm. The fault was mine, I hit the end of a board on our outdoor track at full speed, I think even the Xray would have broken something. A Hard bumper is a must (I am using one for my old Tamiya 417 that I had) the stock one in the normal D06 kit is mushy. I don't have my dymanics kit yet to see if it is the same bumper. Otherwise the car is strong and fast, it goes through chicanes at speeds I have never been able to do before, I am very happy with VBC.

Ryan actually texted me yesterday about the AOC this weekend. He is getting ready for this weekend and has been trying new things.

Think I found the biggest contributor of slop in the steering system ... My servo! Its a Savox 1252MG and there's a little bit of play. I compared to my old analogue KO servo, which was solid and was a little disappointed. Might go on the hunt for another low profile servo.
