Ok, my Team Powers 17.5 is the same way. I forgot that I added shims to move the motor slightly back to allow the pinion to fit. Out of my other Powers motors, only the 17.5 has this issue.

Just started the D06 build - the bulkheads sure are sculpted nicely!

They look nice. However, one disadvantage is that there is no brace that can be placed on top of the bumper to bridge the gap like in T4. So in a hard frontal collision, the front lower bumper mount takes all that impact.

Had a full weekend of running mod sedan this past weekend here at 5280 raceway. Ended up running the new PF GX body and combined with some other setup changes the car felt very very good on my last run! Once I get home from work I will post a setup sheet for anyone who is curious.

Last Saturday was my first race with this chassis. And it was my second ever stock touring race.

The car was a dream to drive with the stock set up and few minor adjustments.
I have no complaints in handling. It was extremely balanced and easy to drive.

During practice I got bumped by another car and hit the wall and ripped the front foam bumper. Fortunately, trackside parts support was available and I was able to install the hard foam bumper which is much harder than the kit bumper. (Thanks Mark!)

Hara took 3rd. Not sure what happened, but had some troubles in qualifying.
He still qualified 3rd, but from the looks of the pics, the finals got rained out.

Not sure if the D06 can answer this because the steering system is quite different from the ghost. I assume your knuckles are not going all the way, even with the steering rack maxed out. There were several posts on the ghost thread about the steering rod angle. Maybe that can help.

Ill double check there. I dont recall and knuckle post but there was mention of adjustment not level which I dont seem to have an issue on mine.

Any others of help would be cool. Cant seem to find good shot of the Ghost together with electronics. I already changed up the servo arm because I didnt like the extreme angle from the servo to the steering plate..

hmm, I think it's that extreme angle that gives it enough throw to get the steering rack moving. You should be able to max out the steering and have to cutdown the EPA on the servo. The servo arm on the D06 is long too.
Here's my car

Thanks for the pics. When I got home from work I look at the frontend real good again and noticed a build mistake on my part. Thats what happens when you put the C hubs in wrong. DOOOOOOOOOOOp!!!!!!!!!

Hi there,

How do I calculate the gear ratio of this car?

Is there a post regarding calculating the gear ratio and how to select the ideal size pinion?

Thank you.

Final drive ratio = spur/pinion x internal ratio (1.9)

You would have to tell us what motor you are using for us to recommend FDR.

Internal ratio = diff gear/ center pulley = 38/20 = 1.9
