It moves the balance of the car towards the nose. My setup has actually drifted away from what some others are running mainly to mellow out the car a little bit.
Thanks Korey! I am going to install mine very soon for testing. I am sure that it will be a worthy upgrade.

^^^ That's awesome!

We have just received Dave Johnson's Wildfire D06 setup from the Fall Fiasco and will be uploading it tomorrow.

For those of you who may not know, Dave Johnson is the 2012 ROAR Paved Onroad National Champion. Dave also has numerous high level race wins on both carpet and asphalt, which illustrates Dave's dedication to his craft, as well as the quality of the VBC cars he races.

Anyway, stay tuned.

We have uploaded Dave Johnson's setup. He used the same setup on his Wildfire D06 to win both Modified Sedan and 17.5 Sedan. The setup can be found in the Setup Sheets section of our site.

Congratulations to Dave Johnson and thank you!

In his setup he says he used the d05 shock shafts. Did he use the standard shafts or the dynamics longer shafts that were an option part for the d05?

thanks

Dave used the standard Wildfire D05 shock shafts. He preferred the longer shock shafts over the shorter D06 shafts as they helped free up the car a little more for his driving style.

Congratulations to Dave Johnson and thank you!
I know I'm probably in the minority here but I'd love to see Dave's VTA setup, assuming it differs from his Mod/17.5 setup. VTA is what I will be using my D06 for most of the time. Thanks in advance!

Cheers,
Mike

Mike, the D06 should be pretty awesome in VTA. I've been running the D06 in 17.5 blinky for the last week, practicing at the CARCAR track. Can't believe how good the car is right out of the box. First race night for CARCAR is tomorrow. I'll try out Dave's setup next week.

Thanks for the feedback Al...I might be coming out on Friday to run Mini but I'm looking forward to getting my D06 out to race VTA/CTA at KARZ sometime soon! I'm planning on starting with the kit setup unless someone has a better starting point for VTA.

Cheers,
Mike
