I like that Tower is carrying this car

1) optional and replacement parts will be readily available
2) I have "Gold Club" coupons for Tower ...so WHEN it comes down to a reasonable price I should be able to snap it up for a GREAT price.

I've created a setup sheet in PDF format which can be edited and saved. Hope it's useful for some.

Here's a link to the manual as well, downloaded from the Hobao site:

These files are hosted on my own personal site, so I can't guarantee they'll be available permanently. Does anyone know how to get petitrc to add new cars like they do for other chassis? Perhaps we can have a repository of information.

EDIT
Arn0 came through and helped put up this info on petitrc. Here's the new link for the H4:

The car looks great, I really like the roll bar set-up it seems to have. How does it compare to the other cars you drive?

Enjoy! I love that new kit smell.

I was going to publish this later after I had time to polish it, but it might be helpful for you now: http://its1204.com/content/ofna-h4e-build-tips

Your right there is nothing like the new kit smell, and thanks for the link to your build tips I printed it out for reference while building.

That car is sexy indeed. I would MUCH prefer a black or grey anodizing but hey. More of a concern is the large oval cutouts in the chassis, esp. the one right in the middle. That is not an area where you would want to induce any weakness IMHO. Then again... what do I know ?

On another note, could someone weigh the car before installing any electronics, wheels or shell ? Thanks !

Close, but not quite there. The length is correct (23mm), but off the top of my head, I mic'd the ID of the lower spring retainer at 16.8mm or so which makes the Ride springs 2mm too thin.

I'll double check just to be sure though.

Default Base setup for carpet

Here's the base setup sheet. I forgot to include a very important field for droop, so I'll add that back in later.

I ran something similar to this setup with 6mm droop in the front and 5 in the rear on med grip carpet (measured from setup board to middle of the hingepin) last night with very good results. I was able to beat my TC6.1 times with the new car by a couple tenths.

Car was very easy to drive with this base setup sheet. Lots of possibilities for more tuning to your preferences from this baseline.

Enjoy!
