Had massive grip roll problems tonight on carpet.

What shock oils are you lot running? I was on 25wt but not sure if I should go a bit lighter or not?

White springs all round.

I am not 100% confident/happy w/ my current setup ...it is super close but pushes just a tad more than i'd like.

However for what its worth,
I am running 22.5wt oil and white springs all around.

-I've tried gray, white and green springs in every combo as well as various shock weights. The 22.5/white springs is my fav' setup. I ran that way mid season last year and plan to this coming season.

Cool I'll give that a shot then.

No knuckles in stock at our distributor and haven't been any in for weeks.

Brilliant!

So I put a set of aluminum knuckles on my vta car last night. The steering arms on them rub the wheels. I put a small washer between the hex and the wheel and it still rubs. Really disappointed after spending $52 on these. I used a sanding drum on my dremel and shaved the arm down a little. Scares me though because there's not much meat there.

Really, that's a poor design isn't it.

What wheels are you using? Maybe they are deeper than revlites?

Hpi vintage wheels. 0mm offset. There's only a few wheels to choose from due to the usvta rules.

Ah right.

Has anybody tried these knuckles with revlites? They are the only wheels I use anyway

What roll centres do people use?

I'd got 1mm under all the inner and outter camber links.

I've have just removed the outer shims on all 4 corners to make the arms parralel to the bottom ones but won't get to try it until Friday .

I noticed this car was a bargain right now.
How would this car work in carpet racing indoor?

@ 200$ this seems like a very good car.

I have all the electronics.

I can purchase ANY car, but I would rather get a car that was 200 vs 500-700$ for the chassis.

The ONLY thing, and it is the biggest. I purchased a Hyper 8 when it came out years ago, and never liked it. the next year it was changed, making what I had worthless.

From the way it sounds, parts don't break very often on this car.. I read a build log, and he broke the front drive shaft. This wasn't from a crash, but the bent and broke.
This may have been on a early model?

Thanks guys.

It's a great car for carpet. Especially for the price. That being said, ofna is now out of business. So idk how long parts will be available. It's a shame ofna closed. They have made some great cars over the years. I still love my h4e and will continue to run it until parts are no longer available.

I would think the plants that produced the equipment will be picked up be another manufacture name.

I agree though, I hate to see any business fail.

Great car i love mine. I was almost untouchable last night, came 4th in the A final aginst some really good drivers.

Ofna may be out of business but I don't think hobao are and they are the once who make the car.

If you get it just order a load of knuckles, c hubs and wishbones and you should be fine. They are the only parts I've ever broke. Still on the same set of driveshafts from day 1

Seeing that the car is no longer being made, is there a place in the us that I can get parts for it? I need new front cv set but can only find them over seas on ebay.
