Bought this with the intention of running it in 17.5tc but that never panned out for me. Would like this to go to a good home and someone else who is interested in this nice car. Ofna/HoBao h4e 1/10th TC $270 shipped

Wanted to post a quick report that I took 1st in the Novice mains w/ my H4. Loving this car, -it is a joy to drive once you dial it in (for me that was mostly getting the shock stiffness correct and optimal pinion/spur gearing).

Default Replacement Gear Diff???

Does anyone else make a diff. that will fit this chassis?? I've replaced the o-ring twice, and it still leaks! The car is new...never been run, and leaks just sitting on the shelf!!!
Thanks

Thumbs up Leaky diff

Disassemble your diff, clean all parts completely (not that they're not clean, just my ritual), soak 2 new "O" rings in WD40 for approx. 10 mins., dry them with a clean papertowel, apply Green Slime to them and outdrives, and reassemble diff. Works for me , leak-free everytime. Hope this helps. Chris S. LETZ RACE!!

I believe the cvd issue has been resolved. version 3 took care of it. they will still break if you run head on into something w/ the wheels turned all the way, but almost anything will break doing that. I run a plastic bumper and have not had any issues since installing that.

as far as competing? you talking like sponsored drivers? if so, none to my knowledge, but the h4 is more than capable of winning w/ the right setup and driver. I know everytime I run mine somewhere, people always want to know what it is. in my opinion, its just as good as anything else on the market. but w/ a better $.

Thanks! agreed hit any car hard and they will break.

For competing ya i know there are no factory drivers, just wondering if there are any known drivers competing with this car. I did see a few pages back that Lou was running one at the CDN Nationals.

Agreed it looks well built and i like it.

I have a 3Racing Sakura XI gear diff (with shim washers for end play) in my H4, so their spool/ one way should be OK.

Did you have to change the outdrives or anything else? Does the xi diff leak?
