Hey all,

Looking for some help with gearing for my 21.5 TX, track size is about 12 sec a lap carpet.

Good starting point be around 3.7 FDR or something higher you think?

Thanks for your time.

A lot of guys at our track run that motor both in F1, mini and USGT cars.

I just switched to the Tekin Gen3 21.5 ...I really like it a lot. Seems to have a lot of power, ...but w/o a motor checker or some kind of dyno its hard to really know which motor is best ??

I have one and its not a bad motor once you get it geared right....it has a lot of RPM compared to other 21.5 motors so it likes less gear from what I have seen so far.

I'm running a Track Star 21.5 Spec motor. One of the best motors I have run in a long time.

Do you have the standard V3 or the short stack?

We offer a Short Stack and Standard Stator. Short Stack will give you RPM and Standard more on the torque side.

I run a Fantom 21.5 Works motor. Still messing with the right gearing for it because it pulls like a freight train. Not a super high RPM screamer, but it has TONS of power and runs really cool (ran the main with 91 degree air and 114 track temp and it came off at 124 degrees).
I run their 25.5 in my F1 and I will tell you that I've caught Reedy's with half a straight lead.

Im running the new Hobbywing v-10 g2 21.5 and its very good. It has lots of torque and top end. I have it geared at 96x36 in my vbc f1 car and I couldn't ask for better speed.
