ETS Round 6 - Hudy Racing Arena
#182
The only thing missing is some of the other 10 or so factory-pro-level drivers.
ETS is much more engaging. Think how much better it would be if they added live video. LIVERC is missing a great opportunity to expand.
#183
I'm just curious, who are the other 10 or so racers? I few of us were having a debate about pro racers and world's class racers....

The thing is a lot of testing goes on at ETS, it's been getting bigger with better coverage and exposure, ergo it's getting more important.
But, when the teams go to the worlds, they're going to the worlds. No more testing, bring your best and lets see what you've got.
It will be interesting to see if all the teams start to "tighten up" as ETS gains momentum and becomes more important to everybody.

It is sad that 90% of the ETS Redrc articles only goes about the mod class.

ETS is becoming the F1 series of RC. if it keeps up, it will be bigger and more prestigious than the worlds.

Scotty has started the AOC although the travel distances between venues are very big so I don't think you can have active participation from the same drivers throughout the series. This is likely a problem for North America as well. Europe is about the right size for short flights from everywhere and two time zones.
The ETS is very prestigious and should be used as a template for series around the World. There is no reason why each U.S. ROAR region can't have its own ETS style series.

That is the way to promote the sport! Give those drivers the same feeling so others will follow. Do not let them think they are just a filling of the event.
