whats the proper way of disposing of batteries? is there somewhere i can drop it off so its properly recycled? rather than just throwing it in the trash? thanks guys

Just drop them off at radio shack. Last time I did the guy that was workign there gave me a lecture on how too many people dump their batts int he garbage and ruin the environment. I think I was there for 40 min........

From what I've read. Ni-Cds are harmful to the environment but Ni-Mh are environmentally friendly and can be dumped with your usual garbage.

Lowe's now has a drop box at the front for all rechargeable batteries, no questions asked.

Ni-mh are better than Ni-cd but still not "environmentally friendly" by any means. They should be recycled also. There are many places you can take them, Home Depot, Lowes, Radio Shack, and Sears to name a few.

Sell them on RCtech along with all those worn out tires from the REEDY race

i do give out my packs to newbies.. or sell really cheap. but i got a few packs i had in an old toolbox...i cycled them a few times and they only charged up to 1000mah. (old 3300s) they're in pretty bad shape. so i figured id just throw them out. thanks for the input guys. time to go save the environment!

I too give them to newbies WITH them knowing not to throw them out when thier done with them, but to recycle them. If you don't tell them, It's just like throwing them in the trash
