Speed passion justock esc?
Thinking about grabbing one for 17.5 blindly can't beat it for the 55$ price tag... Anyone pick one up?

You mean Hobbywing Justock. Its just as good as my Tekin for blinky racing at 1/3rd the cost.
|
Have two, and know several guys that run them. For the money, they're definitely worth it.
|
I like juststock esc it is easy to program it has a small foot print. It is as good to me as the LRP esc I use to race. I recommend these esc to all my fellow racers.
|
I have two of them, one in my 2wd buggy and one in my VTA car. Never had any problems with either of them.
|
Fantastic ESC. Bunch of local guys running them in the stock 17.5 class and are doing very well with them.
I run one in VTA, myself. |
Great esc. Works worlds better than novak it replaced.

I believe the factory is here in Shanghai, so there are many sponsored and non-sponsored drivers using the Hobbywing in all classes.
The Justock works great here in the heat and we are driving 13.5 motors on very large asphalt tracks. I've got 3 of them and am very happy. I recommend staying away from the motor-ESC combos only because those motors don't have end bell timing adjustment. |
Good but with a bit of a maybe question mark on chasing some pace recently, where as a small test at the end of my last race meet showed greatly increased bottom end with a higher spec/higher amp ESC.
To be fair I was not far off pace with the Justock, but it's looking to me like higher amp ESC may offer more bottom end punch, weather that makes you any faster though?, another question mark. |
The Hobbywing Justock esc is a great speed control for 17.5 blinky. I have three.

Thanks for all the replies fellas.

Hey Guys!
Have a couple questions, just getting back into the sport after quite a few years away... I'm looking to get into the SK spec class at my local oval track. I'm looking into getting a Hobbywing JustStock, but my question is regarding 1S lipo packs. All the reference material I find on this esc says that its rated for 2S-3S lipos (but then I've also found they can run 4 cell nimh)? But I've seen some locals running a 1S pack with a JustStock setup. Can I go this route for a speedo? And if so will I need to run a receiver pack also? Any information would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks! |
If some of your local racers are running them on 1S I would suggest asking the them how they are running them.
Usually you need either a separate receiver pack or a voltage booster, but some particular combinations of servo and receiver can work fine with some 2S ESCs. |
Here in Turkey, we are all running stock class with Hobbywing justock with 13.5 Speedpassion non-timing motors in nats.Nobody had any problems with those. We are running with those in huge asphalt tracks in hot weather conditions.
But Justock has no timing adjustment, if you want timing then you should go with Hobbywing extreme stock esc. |
Its a great ESC, I have been running it for years
