Anyone know where I can get a short extension cable that is compatible with the antenna in the SPEKTRUM? I had mine apart the other night, and the cable comes up a little (2") short to make the distance from the stock antenna location to the plug point in the module. For the record, I have a Sanwa Super EXZES radio, using the Spektrum for the M8/Exzes...

Looks like I'll be doing that mod very soon. I always store my radio without the module so I don't damage the antenna on the module.

Who cares what your radio looks like? I can't recall a single time when I looked at my radio when I was driving a heat on the drivers stand.

BTW, nice radios guys. Haha!

check out some lipoly batteries. they will balance your radio back out without the heavy antenna and then you can do the mod. that is what I did. you can find different capacity for lipoly to find the right balance. and then you don't have to charge the tx pack for a month or so.

I finally did this mod to my Helios. All I did was drill the hole the aireal goes into to allow the dsm aireal to go through. The aireal fits there nice and tight and needs nothing else to keep it there. As for the module I cut a slit in the side of the case and sat the module in the radio without the front and could get the standard length wire to hook on to the terminal on the module. I then clipped the front of the module cover on. It works sweet and has had the mount for the aireal on the module removed, painted black etc. No soldering required.

I would if I had a camera
It took me only about 10minutes to do the mod, alot easier then I expected.
