Nothing to do with weight the plastic was moving causing the timing to change thsts why we changed it.

Is this a "running" change, I have two V10 with plastic timing cover. I have not openend the box for my third V10 motor.

We changed it as some were moving during high rpm and some were not so instead of trying different plastics and wasting time i decided to go all aluminum.

Who did you buy your motor from you will need to contact them.

Just so you guys are aware it is the responsability of the seller to warrant your product and the last resort will be to contact the factory. So if you bought your product from the Hong kong online stores the product must be returned to them inspection, repair or replacement.

Remember warranty is from date of sale with proof of purchase if a proof of purchase is not offered then the product is warranted by day of manufacture which can be an issue come time for warranty so please safe guard that proof of purchase or its going to be hard for me to help out.

Thank you for your understanding .

Angelo

I have not had any problems indoor with my 5.5 and 6.5 with "self adjusting" timing :-)

I really like the smothness on indoor slipery carpet tracks where the LRP did not work as well. I find the "character" similar to my TP motors. With my limited knowledge I think the V10 looks very "professional" on the inside compared to other brands that I have taken apart.

Has anyone played with a 17.5? I'm looking at going for one of these from my SP MMM for stock racing.

So, after a little time to test these motors, what can you tell us about them? Especially about smoothness and temp?

I want to buy a new mod motor and I hesitate between Thunder Power ZR3 5.5t, MuchMore Fleta ZX 5.5t and this HW Xerun V10 5.5t.

I want a motor that is super smooth at low end but also fast for the straight.

Any experience with them (even if in other turns)?

Thanks for answering;
Best regards,
G-rem

I ran Thunder Power motors last year, and Hobbywing motors this year, and I have to say my own personal opinion is that the Hobbywing motors are quite a bit better - they have really good power and seem to run MUCH cooler.

Only to back up what Matt says. I've run a few different motors recently, including LRP's, MuchMores, and even a Turnigy... And the quality if the V10 trumps them all.
Motors run very cool, struggle to get above 70C, even when running silly boost and turbo, and the power band is very smooth. All round a quality motor.

Thanks for these details Ed

I cannot find any spare parts like rotor, bearing, sensor unit,...like I can find for MuchMore or Thunder Power motor, is there any reasons for this?

Also if you look at the manual the motor is rated up to 210*F. They can take a stupid amount of heat if needed

Yeah but only the 3.5t and 4.5t have the rotor with fan, not the 5.5t and I think this is why these windings run cooler than other brands =/
