The xerun v10 4.5 is a good substitute?
Thanks for help

You probably need to turn up BT and TT with the HW motor to achieve same speed with LRP. Heat will rob power regardless which motor you go with. Dont waste your money stick with the LRP this motor is a beast. I sold my HW V10 motor after testing with a few battery packs...for me it was lacking speed and punch compared to my LRP X20 4.5T
My friend and I both run BD7 with same gearing and HW 3.1 esc. He has V10 4.5 I have LRP X20 4.5t. In order for him to keep up on the long straight he turns up his BT and TT pretty high but his car always shuts down at the 4min mark
This is based from my experience and other racers from our local track. The few racers at our local that tried both motors all agree the V10 does not have as much torque and speed compared to the LRP X20.

well had a pretty good night out last night with both my cars. double tq for tc stock 17.5 and 1/12 13.5.
ended up with 42 endbell timing, 83mm rollout for a 100x36 track with an average amain laptime of 9.6-9.9.

dispite the higher timing, the car didnt lack infield punch and totally ripped on the straight. the orca powered cars have been dominating our 12th scale program with the exception of a killshot/orca powered car that comes down from nanaimo.
my v3.1 and v10 combo seems to have all the punch to compete with those cars. somthing i was missing from my reedy with the same esc.

I might grab a 17.5 for a big race coming up. i had planned to focus my attention on modified but the stock car is working so well and ive had so little mod practice.. i might come back to it.

Been running the V10 17.5 in my TC for a few weeks now. It finally able to keep up with the rest of the motors. Was able to TQ and Win this past weekend. Car was fast all day with 38 degree timing. Ran the fastest lap of the day as well.
Really look forward to another practice day this weekend.
I just hope I can run these motors at the Carpet National.

Angelo;

what rotor option would be suitable for a 13.5 single cell blinky application? the stock v10 is very smooth and seems to have the top speed, but im looking to get a little more punch out of it out of corners.

100x36 ozite, mixed layout, 12th 13.5 blinky, Xerun 3.1 1S, crc 7000/90c. Rooling out 82-84mm with timing mark at 42ish.
fast laptimes are 9.1ish and im putting out 9.3 on average. car has the speed on a straight line and runs stone cold, but just lacks punch.

I unfortunately broke a thread on my V10 motor and it seems I have no room enough to turn the motor to use another thread, does anybody have suggestion to fix it? Or is it possible to only buy the motor front housing?

Thanks for the reply,
G-rem

drill out the hole ( using the bit recommended for a 4m tap ) carefully and tap with a "Bottom' tap ( 4m) and use a 4m srew the same length as you other ( 3m) screw. You may find this so strong that you'll want to drill out all the holes and re tap them to 4m.

The bandit is an outlaw motor. Not approved for racing by sanctioning bodies. If your track allows them then great. It's like a Trinity 3.5 motor.

pretty sure the bandit would be out of spec.
what is the largest legal rotor for 13.5? the stock one is pretty flacid, looking to get more notchiness back lol.
