digital tire warmers???
hey guys
at my local track we race on-road touring during the week at nite and it is a little cool out and guys are starting to use tire warmers
couple questions
we use take-off 27's as a spec tire
what would be a good temp to warm them up to?
is there anything to do like take a track temp and them set the warmers acordingly???
can anyone give me some ballpark #'s???

tire temp
ok this is what me and my buddy do. warm them up to about 130 and run the car for 10 or so laps till the car feels good, once the car feels good immidiately take a reading on the tire in the center on all four tires. record it and set your temp on the heaters to about 20 degrees hotter. that way when you start your tires will cool a bit but they should be about perfect after 1 or 2 laps. hope this helps. doug
