Default Best Website Design RC companies

So whats your opinion about the better websites for RC out there?
My all time "Hate List"
TeamLosi.com
Corally.com
teamcrc.com

Losi changed some of the descriptions and action shots for most of their cars which look great, but the website is still garbage.

The Corally Site is so minimal and the navigation is horrible. Also, who is doing the optimizing for those pics? They take forever to load.

Poor Team CRC, Great products and cars, but that website has to go.

One of my vote for all time Fav has to be Team Orion. Simple, easy to navigate and to the point.

I knew that was the same guy!
They all work off the same grid system.
I think maybe thats why it wore thin on me. Seeing the first was fine, then the second, third, fourth.....etc. Even though the graphics and content are different it was the same look over and over. Somebodies making a lot of money re-using the same design!
I wouldn't go as far as to say ANY website.
You want to see award winning interactive and Website design go to
Pentagram.com
Landor.com
Two of the biggest Design companies in the world.
Working at one of these companies as a designer, is like being a 3D artist and working at Industrial Light & Magic. Your badass.
Pentagram is so good, their website is basically simple text on a white background. The work does the talking.

The question should be " What makes an EFFECTIVE web design for a company operating within this industry?"

An effective site should incorporate simple, intuitive and consistent navigation; relevant and frequently updated content (including downloads, audio/video, etc) and if possible, an aesthetic consistent with the company's branding.

(and as a footnote- good design and functional design are NOT always synonymous).

Good Design without function is.....Art
Function without Design is....informational
Form & Function is what makes Good Design.
I don't see how something can be good design, but not functional?
That was huge battle back in school between the abstract designers who had no real concept/Function for their designs, but the stuff looked really cool. Actually a couple of them dropped out and became Fine Artists.

HPI & Orion are very nice...

XRay is also stepping it up....

Lots of guys are doing some cool flash stuff.
But, most are high bandwidth only sites....
Very few code for dial-up anymore.....

Self included.

Some of the best flash sites I have seen, are sites that you can't even tell that they used flash.
Goes back to that old Photoshop saying. If they can't tell you used it: Thank You!, I did my job.

What? Man I love Losi's website. Easy to navigate. Loads quick. Very user friendly. I hate Calandra's though. Takes an eon to load. If it loaded quicker I'd really like it because it has a good design & is well organised
