Default Airtronics Synth radio + crystal rcvrs?

Heyas,

I have an Airtronics MX3s and I need a couple of receivers. The radio is synthesized. Are there any issues using crystal receivers of other brands with this radio? The MX3s uses the same synth receivers as the M8 synth module, but I would like something a little smaller and cheaper than the synth rcvrs.

Just don't want to buy something and find it doesn't work.

Thanks

Just make sure it's compatible with Airtronics. (For example, Novak XXtra) And yes, you can get the regular crystal'd receiver to work, but again, make sure it's compatible with Airtronics.
