F201

I don't think it handles too differently from the stock chassis. It does however make it easier to access things.

I think over time, the 3 Racing, or any graphite plate chassis will be better than the stock plastic. The plastic chassis will usually warp severely in about 2-3 race weekends because of the heat, thus making the car tweak. I'll be switching over to the 3 Racing setup after TCS myself.

Looking at Keith's car, I may pick one up also.

Hey Neil,
Have ya checked your supply of brushes yet? And if you got 5 pairs to part with, that would be great. I got 10 pairs in the hands of the US Postal service, so their coming, but I want a sure thing. Thanks!

Hi, I just got an F201 last week and I love it! I'm curious about one thing though, how hot is the motor supposed to get? I'm running with the stock 540 motor and I'm doing full throttle runs up and down a parking lot, not really racing, but the engine gets really really hot, steaming hot. Is this normal? I've only run it 4 times. It gets so hot that I can't touch the engine, I have a experience in offroad and I've never experienced such a hot engine.

The motors get really hot. I've temp gun'd mine and see it as high as 160F. I had a 21t spec motor in there that melted the chassis when the brush lead touched the bottom chassis. You can see the mark on the bottom side. I think it's lack of airflow but everybody who runs the f201 at our track has heat issues.

I don't have a fan attached....yet. Only needed on really hot days, and with the stock F201 chassis.
