We'll have the Eagle products in stock later this week hopefully. We were in the process of having a carbon chassis designed but after seeing the price on that one there is now way to compete.

The Tamiya lightweight diffs are the way to go.

Hope you can add a setup menu for the f201, lets say the setup of the round winners and runner ups, shocks, oil, springs with or without plate, droop, ride ht, camber toe, and etc, tnx.

Wilfred,

That's an excellent suggestion I'll see if the winner will be willing to share their setup...hehehehe. Also, Round 4 of the F1RL series is coming up this Sat. and we'll have Associated's Tony Phalen joining us for the first time. This should be very interesting

I know I'd like to see that.

And the cut down plate as a cross member is working great. I got hit so hard, I lost my batteries and didn't break anything. Whew.

So anybody got the 3Racing universals yet? Better than the Tamiya hop-up version?

I've tried them on my car. I wouldn't say that they are better than the Tamiya ones but they are nice and shiney.

Hi Guys,

Round 4 Race Results, Current Standings, Photos and race statistics are updated. This is getting really interesting, with only 2 rounds left and the series is still wide open for about 5-6 guys up on top. Anything can happen

We will be receiving the graphite chassis kit and other F201 hop-ups tomorrow. Look for an update on our website.

Hey guys...this thread had dropped to the 3rd page.

I've posted the 2003 Jaguar decals for sale in the Pit Shop at http://www.formula1-rc.com

Only real change from 2002 is the Cat logo on the barge boards instead of the Beck's one. Photos will be posted soon.

Ok guy's no B.S. what is really needed and why to build a good fast f201 for tcs. I was really big into the f103's and now I am getting the open wheel bug again and I want to order everything and build it right the first time. I don't care about the looks just want the stuff you need for performance...

Default f201 hop ups

hey kingzj

The truth of it is you don't kneed every hop up in the book to make the 201 perform. I was number 2 in the f1 a main at trackside, because I screwed up on the last lap. The only hop ups I ran on my car was the lightweight diff halfs, hard front springs on the front and medium springs on the rear. I also used the hop up shock pistons, but ran the kit plastic shocks, and of corse I ran the type a tires with the supplied inserts. So I ran a total of three hop ups and the car was awesome in its handling. I would say spend the money on a good stick pack battery pack, thats really were I fell short this past weekend.

You Lee and Dave really put on a great show in F1. It was by far the best race of the weekend. Its been a long time since I have seen open wheel run that close and never get together it was great and you car was dialed. I am asking about what is really needed because Lee and Dave have about $500 into their cars and I know allot of it is not needed. I would think the alum motor mount might be needed. I ran F1 last year at the tcs race at Trackside and I was able to put it in the A so I can't wait to try the new one now that I have seen them run.....................

wow dave and lee have that much put into their cars.

I only have about 60 dollars worth of hop ups in mine. Hell I don't even have the aluminum motor plate, just the stock one. I would say those few hop ups are really the only things that are absolutly kneeded, because like I said before my car handled awesome.
