There were a few drivers that seem to be fast down there. I hope things work out!

I might try some of your suggestions this Friday, currently not in pace yet with some F1 drivers in the track. I should get in the A's with not problem.

Apparently since you were in the B. And there were only three of you in there.

Well...... That goes back to my question on the last page, about the diff screws. My diffs blew, within the first lap and that was it

I'm pretty bad with jokes. Sorry.

I wish I could recommend something to hop-up your sense of humor.

Kidding.

So anyway I'm just waiting to get an F201 kit and was wondering how different is it to drive compared to say a losi xxx-s touring car.

I find it easier to drive the F1 compared to my CGM, may be the front diffs not having oneways. Try to get the type A tires, stock ones don't handle as good and won't last long.

Oh yeh, I HATE one-ways. I go too slow with them, mainly due to the lack of practice with them. I love driving my F201, but you can't really compare it much with a sedan because it will handle soo much different. The car is more pointy compared to a TC and the back end will step out a lot due to the longer wheelbase and the fact that most of the weight is situated towards the rear of the car.

I say, get the F201, play with it, and you'll forget about that Losi!!

When I mean pointy, i mean that the car will pitch in nicely, but then the backend will become quite loose so I believe that where you gain your speed with the F201 is from your ability as a driver more so then your ability to build the car.

Other people may have different opinions on that but that's what I have experienced really.

I run my xxx-s with the spool option up front but have been considering switching over to a one-way. So the F201 runs a conventional diff for the front and rear?

That's what comes with the car and is available from Tamiya. There are numerous aftermarket companies that produces hopups like a one-way, but they are all located in Japan.

Certainly, the ball diffs that are in the F201 are the way to go. I haven't tried a oneway in the F201 but I wouldn't even try it. I think it'd be a waste of time due to lack of control.
