The blinky 21.5 class is the only class that exist right now in F1, there are only a handfull of sponsored F1 guys out there anyway I would not alienate that class if at all possible! With that being said though the silver can class should be the only class for non sponsered racers since anyone sponsored would not run it anyway.

Not my race but thought it would make better sense to have the rubber tire classes non-sponsored and your foam tire classes for the sponsored guys.

You would think that but there is no existing foam tire F1 class right now in the US!! So your basically asking a sponsored guy to completely build up another car, travel and hope that it works when you get there since you have nothing to compare to locally.

If i can make this race I will run 21.5 rubber class only.
17.5 rubber is basically the same class, virtually no speed difference unless the track is huge and even then its marginal. 21.5 F1's have more top speed than 17.5 TC's!!
Too much R+D to build an open esc foam car, at least for me anyway!

We used to run 17.5 open esc on rubber and it was fantastic, rocket fast but still controllable on the infield, by far the funnest F1 category to me!

What are the dimensions of the track? That is some nice looking asphalt. Do you know what type of asphalt it is (ie: type D, type F, etc, etc).

Pretty cool to see the F1 class getting bigger. But does it really need to be separated into four classes?

Not really. You could really make it two classes combining the silver can and 21.5 "blinky" rubber tire classes and have a foam tire class for those that really want to "hang 10" with these cars with open motor/open esc rules. At my LHS when I first started running F1, I ran silver can against the 21.5 BL motors and was actually faster out of corners and in technical infields than the 21.5s. They had my number on long straighaways. In fact, our fastest F1 guy whips our butts with either motor, so for some, it would not make a different whether they run brushed or brushless.

Does anyone have pre-painted bodies for sale for a 3Racing FGX that I can mount n race??? I have one, but it is solid white. And alittle rough. Prefer a lotus paint or McClaren

Yea, like the above quote asks. Will it be all Tamiya 2wd cars or will there be a mini 4wd class as well. With Tamiya adding a 4wd M05 as well as the HPI Cup Racers and older 4wd HPI mini belt driven cars (which I have one, the Pro version), could poll and see what interest is in doing 4wd as well.

Hi,
That is exactly what we are doing, feeling what the RACERS want! If guys want a class like that we will add one. It's that simple. I will be getting rid of 1 or 2 F1 classes as well. Gauging interest and fine tuning.


Mini classes will be tamiya front wheel drive, ABC front wheel drive and TOP. I will post more specific rules than we can fine tune those as well to keep in line with current rule trends across the country.
