www.TeamEAM.com is the distributor in the US. I have everything in stock at the moment and another order coming soon.

Awesomatix USA is the only other one that I know of that is carrying it online in the US at the moment and an authorized dealer. There are a few others that sell in their shops but do not sell online.

Thanks

Iam running the hw v3 i have an orca that should be back from service i did notice the low end on the orca is much better due to hw not setting a higher throttle feel at low end but both are good the orca definetly exits corner harder and lower motor temps.

The VRITRA VX is ok for mod and blinky and the VX-1 is for 12th scale right? Also do you have to use the USB Link with the Program card or can they be used seperately? Wanting to try something new so this esc is new to me so any info would help. thx

Got mine in today. One of each VX and VX-1 and the program card. These things look great! I didn't expect the program card to be aluminum. I thought it was just going to be a cheap plastic pos.

You do not need to USB to make changes to the ESC. I think its only used to update software.

I was very please with the service from Team EAM!

All of the Orca VX series are legal. They were originally different part numbers for the different colors but have since changed. So all of them are ROAR legal.

On the 2S side I know the ORCA is the smoothest speedo Ive ran (Although I have not ran a HW 2S speedo). It is easier to adjust than others. All the mod, boosted and Blinky software is built in and no need to upload new soft ware when switching from one class to another. Just use the small program box and its all there in a matter of seconds.

I know Ralph Burch had some issues with his speedo this week at the Paved nats and it thermaling as many mod guys did. He switched out for an ORCA and went on to TQ the race and never had any thermal issues again. He was very happy with it and is going to keep running it.

Josh Cyrul TQ'd 13.5 Sedan with the ORCA in his car as well and also never thermaled his in Mod TC all weekend running a 4.5 motor.

I know a lot of guys at the Paved nats ran the HW as well and never had any issues. It was other brands having issues even in 13.5....a lot of the newest ones were thermaling and taken out of their cars.

Cant go wrong with either HW or the Orca in my opinion.

Thumbs up ORCA vs HOBBYWING ESC Report

ORCA is located in HongKong, but they don't make ESC by themselves, (OEM from Taiwan). OCAR's speed controller is good, for example, Atsushi Hara (The top driver of HotBodies---HPI racing) says that the ORCA ESC has very good performance especially for Open-Stock class races. But Hara thinks that HOBBYWING ESC maybe better than ORCA for Modified class races, so Hara chose our ESC in the IFMAR and TITC and won the Modified class races.

Hope this helps,

Alexander Hagberg is one of the top Mod racers in the world and he runs ORCA speedos and motors.

You really cant go wrong with either brand. Both are excellent for Spec or Mod.

Just got an Orca on trade. Will a Hobbywing or Orion program box work?

Orca will only work with orca. I run for orca and it’s been hands down the best speedos I’ve used ever. Always improving. New b32 will be out soon, as will the r32x. I have three r32’s and will likely upgrade them.

I like both. The only issue I had with the Orca is weight. Which is why I run the ORCA in my 10th classes and the HW in my 12th.
