Go to thicker dif oil. I'm guessing 5000 to 7000 is a good starting point . That will help.

Thanks. I'll give that a shot next time out.

Is anyone running an aluminum chassis? Found this, but not sure if it's worth it?

It has plastic chassis plates with plastic bulkheads, so you will get plenty of flex.
I swapped my plastic bulkheads with aluminum ones a long time ago, but kept the plastic chassis plates.
My grey-carpet setup is posted 20 pages back or so.

I recently received the Sakura Advance in the mail. It is aluminum bulkheads and CF plates, so it should be a big more rigid. Swaybar set appears to be included in the kit, so I will try to compensate for the black carpet with this first.

My XI is basically upgraded to an Ultimate at this point. All the aluminum upgrades. FRP chassis though, with carbon fiber shock towers.

Do you guys think it would help if I installed 3 of the aluminum support/standoffs/braces that connect the upper deck to the lower? I have a bunch from my Sakura Zero S that fit. That should stiffen things up a bit, no?

I use the Team associated 66T 48P spur.
Pinions from 30T to 37T will allow me to achieve the spectrum of FDR's for carpet and asphalt racing with either a 21.5 or a 17.5 motor.

Do you use the standard Sakura spur gear support ?

Is it the spur gear you mentioned ? It has 6 holes and not 8 holes ...
Does it fit without any modification?

Yes. That is the one. It works fine without any modifications.

I will be using this in the Sakura Advance also.

Great! I have just order a Kimbrough spur gear as it was available on line.
Looks same as the AE one.
I order 78 / 34 which should give a 4.6 FGR which is good for my track with a 13.5 motor.

Looking forward to try my Sakura XI Sport !!!
I finish building it and for the price it is very good.

Has anyone tried the aluminum chassis for the XI from Reflex Racing?

I have one on the way. Should be here tomorrow. I'll post pics and a review next week once I get it out on the track.

Yep, running on the high bite black CRC carpet.

I'm having big problems currently with traction rolling. I cant carry any corner speed otherwise I flip. Hoping this chassis might help me out a little. I figured it couldnt hurt.
