I'd recommend upgrading:

- aluminum steering link
So arms, knuckles and C-hubs are stock?
So then I will order these two with my upcoming order

If you are planning to race it, I recommend the swaybar and mounting kit, plus a set of tuned springs.

My base setup is posted about 12 pages back. I'll post an updated setup in the next day or so.

Good luck with the car, and have fun!

Thank you very auch. Also I am not that kind of Setup man, yet

Something tells me the XI Sport will be the perfect Entry into TC..although my last thoughts are if the Ultimate would be the smarter choice?

for the cost of upgrading to the floating servo, aluminum steering rack, Swing Shafts and to aluminum bulkheads, go the extra 60 bucks or so and start off right with Ultimate that includes addition aluminum upgrades and the carbon bits IMO...

Start with the Xi Sport. If you don't understand half of what was on my setup page, then the Ultimate may be overkill.

Beside, not everyone is cool like LanceMxer and scores great deals on fully done CF/Pink aluminum Sakuras.....I'm not jealous....really, I'm not.....ok maybe a little

Good idea Lance, but here in germany thr Ultimate costs 299 , the XI 119
I added the 2nd Diff, a hole front steering unit as spare and still was less than 200.

I think upgrading the XI to the Ultimate would be quite useless, so I think the XI is the far better choice...

What pinion (teeth) would you recommend for this Motor/ESC?

(Or should I aim a bit faster (10.5T?))

What fdr do you normally run for 13.5 class?

I dont run any class at the moment, it just the 13.5T Stock combo seems to have quite the price/value. So I could choose anything I like. (Due to I am quite new to TC I dont want to choose a combo I cant handle.

(And I could not find any gearing recommendations in the manual)

Will you be running turbo or non-turbo? Your local track layout will dictate what gearing you run.

If you have not raced a touring car before, it may be a good idea to run a 17.5 or 21.5, if those classes are available.

Here in my area is no actual track I can run on, the nearest is 40miles away, so at first the car would be for my companies (big) parking lot and self build track.
Lets say I need some kind of allround gearing
I think I should take "more" than 17.5 or 21.5 because I am kind of used to my B5 and SC5M with 8.5T. Dont you think?
(Thats why I chose 13.5T, because its a compromise)
I set up an used B4.2 +8mm with a 10.5T and 120A ESC - and this worked quite good (I have the programming card), and thought the 13.5T would be good to go in the first the TC.

If I chose less than 10T I definitely should order more spare parts or limit power

I think you are interested in bashing, more than any form of on-road racing.

Anyone can run a fast car around an empty track. But it takes some experience and a well setup car to race against other 13.5 powered touring cars.

If this is the case, just install a 5.5T with max turbo boost and enjoy the car. It will sound like a turbocharger kicking into high rpm.

The tires included with the kit are soft enough to compensate for lack of a good setup. It took me 6 battery packs with a decently setup 21.5 car on a warm day to wear out the tread of the stock tires. Your results may vary.

Have fun and enjoy!

At first: Thanks for your ongoing advice
If you call setting up a track in my works parking lot bashing, so it its. Id rather drive in designated tracks, but I cant go 40miles one way to a local track just for the kicks. I like driving whenever I want (thats why I got more into it, my chosen track is 5mins from work).

I have more than a lot of fun driving onroad TC at VRC and tried the worn TC4 of a collague. Thats why I want to have something for my own...

Hopefully you understand my intention now. So any advice on the pinion teeth for gearing when using the 13.5T Combo would be very much appreciated
