Hi Guys,
I have two Orion Advantage Touch Chargers, both running version 1.5 of the firmware.

I use them to charge my 1S and 2S Lipo car batteries. Charging in fine, dis-charging is proving to be a problem. With the charger set to dis charge at 2amps (its maximum) it will only discharge at 0.7amps (max), this is with half charged or fully charged batteries. The same applies if the charger is running on AC or DC power.

Is this a bug in the firmware, a fault with the charger or have I not configured something correctly?

Mine got v1.3 and it discharge at 1.3volts, but I never really use it as a discharger so not a problem for me.

So I've been speaking to Orion and here's the deal.

The Advantage Charger will discharge at a maximum of 5 watts, or 2 Amps :-)

The devil, for me at least, is in the detail as I read maximum of 2 amp discharge and missed the 5 watt limitation.

For those who don't know, watts (W) = Volts (V) * Amps (A)

So in my case When I discharge a 7.4v battery on the discharge with its maximum of 5 Watts it discharges at .7 amps.

5w = 7.4v * 0.7a

So kudos to Orion for answering my query. I'm still happy with the Charger, just a bit disappointing that I missed that limitation but that is my fault.
