SPEC mode on a Tekin RS

Does anyone know how to set SPEC mode on a Tekin RS? I need in on SPEC mode for the upcoming Tamiya TCS race.

Blinky? No timing?
It has to do with the timing and boost settings, they both have to be set to a certain number and when it's on it'll blink

Set the timing to zero and it should blink led 3,4,5.

I always set mine with the Hotwire and with version 223 it has spec lock out so Ben if you play with the settings trackside it'll never be taken out of blinky mode by mistake, only way to do it is to hook it up to the Hotwire..

I use the hot wire and just set the timing profile to C1 (custom 1) and the ESC is now in "blinky" mode ignoring any timing or boost settings. Like mentioned above the ESC will now (at neutral throttle) flash (blink) 2 or 3 center LEDs indicating it is in spec (blinky) mode. The number of center Flashing LEDs Depends on the firmware version of your ESC.

The only way to get it into lockout spec mode is with the hotwire. Timing profile 1 (TP1) is blinky mode. C1 is not blinky, it's a custom profile that you can add boost and timing to.

The difference between the TP1 and the lockout spec mode is to get it out of the lockout spec mode you MUST hook it up to the hotwire. If you are just in TP1 you can change it with the buttons on the esc.

With V223 TP1 will blink LED 3,5. Lockout spec mode will blink 3,4,5.

This is the way, & if you don't have a Hotwire handy, then I suggest you ask around locally to get a local to help you set it....
