for bumpy tracks, if you race on a parking lot type setup...then might be okay.
for groomed tracks probably minimal effects.
I suggest to stick with the standard shocks and just make sure to build them right.

At the time, just because they were purple. Although looking at the latest pic I saw, he's moved onto the production black ones.

Wish I could have that Russian carbon fiber hotness....told my wife I would leave her for an Awesomatix
but
Schuie has been good to me so far.

Its been one hell of build so far....everything is flawless so far...
one of the best packaging jobs next to Xbrand (they are tops also). all those little bags all labeled to match the steps in the manual...(Tam/AE pay attention).
Little things make building a car fun...

Default Build Tips

Build Tips

1. Plastic outdrives - If plastic spool/gear diff cups push the oring out. Take an exacto knife and very lightly take a little material from the inside edge (inner spool cup). Very light amount....while pushing in cup over oring take a small flathead and push oring back in (before cups snaps in).

2. Camber plates - (4 dot) file a little on the inner part...will slide in smooth.

3. Arms - do not over torque the screw into the pivot ball..it will create a friction point....tighten screw then finish with wrench (on pivot ball) this will keep it all straight.

4 bearing caps - may fit too tight, slide the cap in with all the notches facing down. place a drop of oil prior to installing to make movement smooth.

5. Steering Rack
a. front most bearings - apply a very small amount of Locktite on holding screws (less than a drop, with a exacto knife. this will keep the bearing in fixed position for break-in of rack.
b. inner bearing - tighten and place a drop of oil on rack, if you overtighten front bearings will feel gritty.
Not too loose not to tight...once the Rack gets grooves then re-adjust to ensure...check after the first few batt packs.
6. Belt tension
front belt in lowest setting may rub the front plastic battery positioner. Flip positioner upside down or remove

more to come

Wasn't this on the addendum sheet?

Don't use a flathead. Push the bearing up against the oring when you install the cup and the o-ring won't move.

Bearing method doesn't work all the time. if does for you/anyone then great onto the next step in build.
the o-rings gets pinched....and doesn't seat properly...the oring must sit inside the cups...other wise it will fall out on side and everything will wobble.

do not jab the oring with anything only lean with flat side. You can use anything flat and small enough to fit in the area (used one those of little key fob discount scan cards in a pinch)
I've done this over a hundred times and numerous failed cups...same design as the Mi4 series.

+1 on the packaging and manual. Everything in separate bags by step is awesome. And the fit and finish is right up there with the other top brands.

Does Schumacher offer an optional hard bumper for the car? If not, Has anyone found another solution?
