My Mi5 showed up yesterday and will be hitting the track this evening. As with all Schumacher cars I've had in the past (and I've had most), it was a very easy build and I had no real issues. We run on a medium/low grip carpet track and I've gotten my Serpent S411 set up pretty well. I'm hoping the Mi5 will quickly surpass those lap times.

On another note, does anyone know contact information for team driver support in the USA?

If you have to talk to someone you can call Schumacher UK.

For general questions post here and you will get fast answers. A few team drivers and I will be helping with questions here.

MAN some of you build your kits fast. Am i the only guy that takes at least 3 days to build a kit? Takes me a few hours to do sanding and CAing.. a day to build the kit, at least a day to wire in electronics and paint a shell. 3 days minimum!... I admit, I do take my time. (i hate to rush and am kind of a perfectionist.

When I first put the chassis of his car to the 'how hard is it to twist' test, I thought it was broken.

Really, if this trend of wet-noodle chassis continues we're going to be able to fold our cars in half, and I think a trend of high-flex bodies will be on the horizon soon enough.

Setup per the manual, the car did ok and I was able to keep pace with a few of the other racers but it is off a bit from the Serpent. It is well balanced and I have changed a few things (similar to the Serpent) that should get me close. I'll be back at the track practicing tomorrow and keep people updated. I'm not sure how many people actually run on low grip carpet but it's been a bit non-trivial to get the cars to work.

Think of fresh, never run on carpet and cut the grip by half, maybe 75% if it's a bad day and we have some good dust.

I like the idea and it seems to be the trend so far lets see how it performs on the higher grip US tracks.

You must not have raced sedan with foam tires with the ultra light weight bodies. There are rules to prevent this from happening again. I believe that ROAR has a min. thickness rule maybe IFMAR too.
