As of today I'm not aware of any plans to release a new touring car. The Detc410 is the latest model. But there will be new plastic formula for more durable and stiffer suspension. As far as I know it is in production and will hopefully be released soon.

Good idea, it would be good to get this thread cranking along with the sort of info that keeps this chassis at the top of the pack, I recently obtained 2nd place in our regional champs in 21.5 blinky with this car, it was pretty much straight outa the box with the low traction asphalt setup on it with a few minor tweaks, all I had to do was settle it down a bit as it was slightly too aggressive in the steering, not loose, just aggressive, I'll do up some setup sheets for mine and get them posted.

Yesterday my brand new Durango got it’s shakedown. It was a bit slow due to the low gearing (I had no pinion over 40T) with the 17.5t. And although the tires are quite old, the car was as on rails. It drives out of the box almost perfect. The best thing, because the car drove so well I did not hit anything, so after over 60 laps the body still looks new.
Next weekend I will actually race the Durango on new tires and with the right gearing, looking forward for a nice competition.

I'm thinking about putting on a diff in the front. I know someone else that has done it and it seems to be working great for him. We race on asphalt. In building the diff he said that he tore apart an a couple of ear plugs and put the pieces inside of the diff so that it would be almost as tight as a spool, but still work somewhat. Has anyone heard of this?

Yup Tyler it works good. It gives you a little better turn in than a spool but still pulls hard off the corner without spinning the inside tire so easy when it's unloaded coming off a tight corner. Also you don't have to worry about it leaking like diff grease if it's not sealed good. Kinda like running a really tight ball diff.
