Ok i live in Canada so i don't follow BRCA that much. Is Elliot that good, or is it the car? I mean no disrespect, i just have never heard of him before the Durango ride.

To be fair, it's not going to show any proven form till we see it in the hands of semi pro and regular drivers, I was surprise to find out like one person was running the car so far, seems like a limited sample group for testing.

The thing I like best is that this car works on UK tracks where as a lot of other cars like the BD7, TCXX etc are not best suited to tracks in the UK. I know there are people that go really well with these cars but not at every track. The wait for a release date goes on .......

With regards to winning all 3 proves its good,
I go by which brand has more cars in the top 15,
I think that gives a better idea about the car rather than the drivers abilaty to get a car round,

I'm surprised that only one driver is testing this car. Usually when a company is coming out with a new car there are a bunch of drivers testing the car. How can they test durability if its only one car??? I guess the consumer will be the final testing of durability.

Elliot tested the durability pretty well with two DNFs in the finals... so I think they've still got some work to do before the car gets anywhere near a release. With only one prototype in use it's going to take a long time to find and fix all the issues.

For me I don't look at national results when choosing a car. I don't race mod, and I don't have Elliot's thumbs, so it's not overly relevant to me. I look at the cars themselves (in terms of build quality, strength etc). Then I look at which cars are winning at club/regional level. Then I look at availability of spares/setups/help, which tends to tie in with success at club level.

To me Eliotts dominance this year just says the Tamiya was holding him back (as he also had a very strong winter when he was running the BD7). I'll need to see a lot more Durangos in use by lesser-skilled mortals to draw a conclusion about the car.

Harper is a legend. Full stop and to be fair the two dnf's yesterday....... If I had Elliotts 4.5 up my arse I'd sh1t myself too the part that failedhas been on the car since the beginning of its testing so has done allot of running with ONLY a modified in it!
A modified car as we know gets so much abuse eventually things do just say thank you very much and expires..
I watched a novice 13.5 driver who is (sorry if u read this u know who u are) sh1t, drive Elliott's car at the btcc with the 4.5 mod Elliott uses it wasn't de tuned he made the car look easy to drive fast (apart from the sweeper at the end of the straight purely as he's head was not quick enough for car!!!!)
Olly Jeffries drove the Durango again made it look very good
Chris grainger drove it and people were on the track so not a fair test!

Moral of the story it looks horrible in that yellow but I WILL live with it when mine arrives!
The car looks bloody good on track in other peoples hands too.

THE DURANGO will be and is a very good touring car. Now release it please.
