Trust me it's not a scam. Durango staff are posting it in Facebook and that shop is very well known in the UK and that shop owner races most weekends at our bigger events. Most racers know him to talk to.

Still leaves the question of why so cheap out there though...

Durango have sold cars through MB at great prices before, they will sell them on before new revisions etc Although as mentioned they have abandoned their pro racing strategy to fund more club level activities. I was speaking to a sponsored driver recently who said there are new parts coming (Revised arms etc) so it will be interesting to see what happens.

but that price is great!

I ran my DETC410 for the first time tonight and it worked great. It was not quite as settled as the Mi5 I ran last indoor season, but still gave great lap times. Race day is tomorrow and I will see how it stacks up against the competition.

On Sunday, I managed to qualify 7th for the A-main in our 17.5 blinky class which wasn't too bad. Not sure why, but in the main the rear was all over the place and the car became a handful. Very odd.

If you can get one that cheap get 2!!! I suspect the detc410 will be a staple of team durango just like the dex series. If anything they will support these models.

I ended up using a length of double-sided hook & loop strap from Great Planes. I narrowed the strip by 1/8th inch to better fit the slot in the battery retainer and this solution works perfectly.

Did the grip go up during the start of the Mains? Perhaps you have too much chassis flex or your rear oil is too soft when traction goes up causing excessive roll or flex making it a bit more of a handful. As grip goes up, you need to stay ahead of the the track and make necessary changes so you don't get caught off guard. I always find I need to stiffen the car during the course of the day or adjust the chassis flex as more rubber is layed down on the carpet.

Grip normally increases throughout a race day and I have that covered. The rear was way loose in the main and still not sure why as I was dialed in all three qualifiers. Once I was back home, I found that one of my tires had come partially unglued and perhaps that caused my odd handling. Still not sure.
