Use a diff gear with a lot of balls. Kimbrough is 12, Zen has 16, and Exotek is 16 as well.

Rubber tires put a lot more stress on the diff, and its pretty hard to get 100% lock up.
Took the car to THE GATE to practice for the HALLOWEEN CLASSIC, I was just going to run USGT and VTA but the 101 was HOOKED UP so I will be running three classes at THE CLASSIC!!!!! Thanks for the help. Will se you at THE GATE...

No, they just released the TRF101W this summer.

Probably expect the next one to be available next summer, 2015.

Has anybody run the 101W and the serpent 110 back to back as considering both and currently struggle with rear grip and we run 200mm foams or we can run 180 rubbers etc over here on low grip asphalt and price works out similar by the time you add the widening kit for the serpent but the serpent is a little cheaper and has better parts back up but currently running the tamiya f104w gp and have found it very very strong.

Currently running the tamiya f104w gp and have found it very very strong so do like the tamiya f1s.

I run my 101 at The Gate also. Last two weekends I had a similar experience. You could hear my car through the infield whirring away. I'll try those suggestions for the next race. Can't make the Classic , however.

Does anyone know if the speed passion diff rings (SP000628) work on the TRF101 rear end. the tamiya ones are a pain to find and expensive!

Cheers

Attached is my Jackson RC TCS wining Set-up using a TRF101. Used Ferrari F60 body and wing kit

Front:
- Stock Rubber Front tires, (not the TCS labeled brand)
- gold springs
- 5000 damper lube on kingpins
- offset trailing axle
- 5mm ride height
- middle hole on steering knuckle

Rear:
- TCS labeled tires
- yellow center spring
- 450 shock oil
- 10000 damper fluid on side damper
- gold side springs
- 4mm ride height

General:
- 35/96 gearing
- Reedy R1 21.5
- short battery in front
- Just Stock Speedo in rear

I hope this helps.

Just TQ'd and won the 2014 Timezone GP with my TRF101.

Gold front springs
1 mm shim under the front. No eclip under spring. This should make ride height 4 mm.
No front droop
TCS soft front tires
TCS hard rear tires
sliver side springs
60k damper tube fluid
4 mm rear ride height
Rear pod sagged .5 mm below ridea height.
Can't remember what spring and shock oil.
Esc mounted up front. Battery all the way back.
88 spur/33pinion
Novak 21.5
Lrp flow esc
This was a high bite indoor carpet setup.
It was the dominant car at the event. Current and past IIC champs were in the house running F1 as well.

Thank you. It was a good battle and a fun weekend. Its probably the first time that my F1 was 100%. I had been running on a really old reedy wolfpack and worn out tires at previous events. Ran a fresh Turnigy roar approved battery and TCS tires.

I'm gonna keep coming through this thread but does anyone know if the TRF101 chassis plates will bolt up to a F104V2? I'm almost positive the front suspension and servo mount for the F104 will bolt right up, but will the F104 rear pod holes line up with the rear plate on the TRF101? Thanks in advance.
