If a car is setup properly then as it rolls and the camber goes more positive you could end up with a full contact patch/0 deg camber at max roll which would be ideal thus no reverse coning. On the flipside with the 103 since it has no static camber, if the upper arms moved ---> camber gain you might not see reverse coning.
its also going to depend on the caster as well since the caster is going to add camber on the outside tire even with no actual camber gain. I think the regular pro front end is around 5* so if they maintain that there will be some outside tire gain and some inside loss as well.
I think the big thing is making the car more stable. Sometimes all that extra front bite is hard to tame.

I'm not sure if I should wait for this car of buy a F104 v2 Dark Ti edition. The 101 looks really strong in the front, which would be a plus.
The F104 front end has an upper link 52mm centre to centre. You have at absolute maximum uncompressed to fully compressed spring a wheel travel of 3mm, and that full travel is unlikely to happen on track. This means as the F104 front end compresses the kingpin leans in all of 0.087mm, that's 4 thou and you'll probably get more movement from the play in the front end. The camber gain is 0.23 degrees.

If the chassis rolls so the inside is at full extension while the outside is at full compression, that means the chassis rolls through 0.95 of a degree, that is 4 times the amount of camber gain the F104 front end has so if positive camber is a problem with the TRF101 then it would be the same problem with the F104. Of course this doesn't take into account that when cornering the wheels are turned, so the caster adds most of the camber gain when cornering so neither front end will ever have positive camber when cornering.

There has never been anything wrong with the F103 having a sliding kingpin front end, the only problem being the fixed camber meaning tyre coning but you can dial a lot of that out as well as increasing caster by adding a 1mm thick washer between the wing and front suspension on the front mounting screw. The TRF101 has adjustable camber as standard, and if Tamiya doesn't produce a range of upper arms to tune the suspension geometry even further I'm sure the likes of QTEQ or 3Racing will fill the gap.

The main difference will be in roll centres. The standard F104 front end starts with a roll centre at ground level, but when cornering it will move up slightly but quite a bit from side to side. The TRF101 roll centre will be fixed at ground level, but it won't move as the chassis rolls. This should make the handling more consistent instead of the all or nothing grip of the standard F104 front end.

If you really think the tiny amount of camber gain is more important then get the F104v2.
