Who charging 20+ amps or more now??

For those with the 4010duo or even 308b for that matter, how noisy is the charger when in use. Do the fans spin up alot when charging?

The 308 while charging hasn't been noisy at all IMO. Only during this discharge when the fans went to full speed. Other then that it runs pretty quite. It shows the temp of the charger on the front so if it hits X deg then the fan turns up more and more. I think it has like 5 speed settings.

Sweet, thanks for the replies guy. I've got a loan of a charger just now as I was waiting on the icharger coming back in stock and the loan charger is so f'ing noisy it's getting on my tits, I didn't want to plump up the cash and have the same noise with the icharger.

So just started reading this only ever charged at 1c my tp 6000 but reading label says
Charge as 2 cell,12c * (72A) or may cause fire
So does this mean max i can charge is 72 amps??
So charging at 10 amps would be fine????

Most big events will limit charge amperage, so getting those million amps chargers will not be necessary !!!!

you don't need massive amperage with a high voltage setup
I charge my 6S 3300mah at 3C (10A). With a 4S I would need a 15A charge to reach 3C. And that's for the exact same runtime on the track

I balance charge at 20amp now for club races on my 306b. The main reason is for convenience. I can run a heat of 17.5 blinky. Toss the battery on the charger and it will be done in 9 minutes. This allows me to do practice runs or test changes between rounds. I also only have one battery. So this helps out a lot. I also charge in a battery box for safety.
So for me, it's all about convenience. There is no performance gain because I am not heating up the battery first by discharging at high amperage and then high amp charging to keep the heat in the pack.

First, buy good quality lipos if your racing.
Discharge only to 3.4 volts per cell (nothing lower)
I prefer to discharge to 3.4 volts per cell only on the first charge.
Charge at 12-20 amps and your good to go.
I prefer 20 amps first charge to heat them up internally.
This lowers the IR on the first charge.
If you don't think its an advantage then discharge your lipo at 30 amps.
And watch the voltage.
It's HUGE!
