I'm working on a resistor thing to safely run 400 watts.

I've tried it EA, as well as the Integy Reactor 30 on 1s and 2s with my 308 Duo. Worked just fine. I liked the Reactors better as they stay relatively cool with the fan. I have a friend who is designing a FET based discharging unit that I believe will do the same thing, but will be about the size of a GTB2 and allow 20-30 discharge without the heat. If I am not mistaken it will have bullets and be plug n play with the iChargers.

Funny, I think Integy has caught on, the price for their Reactors have gone up slightly.

You need to watch the reactor for overheating. If you overheat it your charger will soft restart. Im not sure exactly what's happening, but its something I dont want have happen if I can help it. I was back to back to back discharging batteries to start the night. Space it out and keep the fan running at 12v and it'll do the trick.

Works pretty good. I set it at 12v & 20A for good luck. Anything is better then cooking the internals. These are nice and all with hi-fluten software, but the nuts n bolts don't seem as robust as a Competition Electronics charger.

Thanks. I already have the MMS Discharger that is a stand alone unit. Its expensive but it is a super nice unit and works flawless. Plus its the size of a reactor already and will do 45 amps. I was just thinking of trying the reactor but after thinking about it I'll probably just keep the MMS discharger (Dumper).
Thanks

R1 - There is a trimming resistor in them that you can tweak to make it work with LiPo voltages and cut offs. I modded mine to do that. it is VERY touchy though so I do keep a close eye on it.

I think it is set for NIMH. The person who posted about modding it simply used the resistor part and made his 308's 2nd channel put the voltage into the unit.
If R1 works needs a product idea, a sub $100 lipo discharger with adjustable cutoffs would be nice.
