Hello everybody, I bought my first TC5 a month ago and managed to break my first part on it. Ive talked to a few hobby stores and looked all over the web and cant find this part. Does anybody know where this part can be sourced from?

That's not a TC5 part, looks like some made it to custom mount a body. A picture of the complete chassis would be helpful.

Looks like something made to keep the rear of the body from getting crushed.

I used a rear shock tower mounted the same way to use as a bumper.. you could probably get away with that and could mount the body posts as need be...

Its actually a body post extender, those posts went inside the rear spoiler mounts. It made for a very discreet look, but not anymore since its broken haha

I'm starting to think that in its previous life, that was a shock tower that's been adapted into a body mount. My questions is who would use such thin CF.. If you search on google for "carbon fiber shock tower" you'll find that a lot of them look very similar to what you have. One of them may even be adapted to your use as well.

I was thinking the same but the amount of holes on the sides doesn't make any sense to me. I don't have a lot of experience with pan's so I guess the next question is what brand..

Either way, that piece looks like its too thin. I would consider a shock tower since they are usually around 3mm thick..

i agree with logi maker, it was something custom made to mount the body and keep it from rubbing the tires if another car was to rear end you i cant say where to find one but good luck with your searching!

edit: and if that is what you are trying to accomplish with trying to find another new part like this one, i know a lot of people are just mounting the regular body posts laying down pointing rearward instead of pointing up and using two body pins, one on the inside of the body through the post and another on the outside to hold the body on

Try something like this to extend the position of the body post. It mounts onto the body post itself.
