I am thinking of getting a new servo for my TC. I have always used standard servos for more speed and torque.

It is going into an Associated TC6.1 so it will be sideways. going with a smaller servo will not save any space but will keep the servo from hanging over the chassis.

My question is, get standard servo and get a faster, stronger servo. Or a low profile servo, sacrifice some speed and torque for size and weight.

Servo options that are on the table.
KO BSx Standard sized servo .07s with 207 oz-in at 6v
KO RSx One Ten low profile .10s with 138 oz-in at 6v
Futaba BLS551 low profile .10s with 128 oz-in at 6V
Any other ideas are welcome.
If it matters my radio is a 4pks-r.

You don't need much torque or speed in a TC. I think Paul Lemieux said his servo of choice in a TC is the futaba s9551.

Get a low profile servo. I also like the savox 1251. Low cost and has excellent specs.

I swapped a BLS551 for my 1251 and haven't looked back. The 551 is smoother and centers better it seems like. I love my Savox servos for offroad but onroad its all futaba for me. Yes it does cost more but it really is better.

That's what I run as well. Pricier compared to the Savox stuff but in my experience Futaba servo's have been pretty much bulletproof. I've had this same servo in several types of vehicles (racing and bashing) for a good 5-6 years at least.

I've had several low profile servos and always seem to have some sort of trouble. One was the bls451 I think and a purple Orion. Probably dumb luck on my part.

What about the radiopost servos?
I have heard of some issues from their receivers but have read great reviews on their servos.
